11/12 NAME CHANGE CALENDAR/7226

 Change of Name or Gender

1.         PETITION OF TARASHEA SIRENIDIE

            25CV05023

TENTATIVE RULING: The Petition is DENIED. Petitioner failed to provide a proof of service of publication at the first hearing on 10/08/25 as is required by Code of Civil Procedure §1277(a)(2). The Court provided an opportunity to cure this defect and set a second hearing for 11/12/25. As of this posting, Petitioner has still not provided a proof of service of publication for this new date.

2.         PETITION OF RHEETA GOMEZ

            25CV06086

TENTATIVE RULING: No Appearance is Required. The Court finds that Petitioner Rheeta V. Gomez has complied with all prerequisites outlined under California Code of Civil procedure (“C.C.P.”) §1277 for a Petition for Change of Name. The Court has also reviewed Petitioner’s Declaration of Diligent Search as to the biological father and GRANTS the Requests to Dispense with Notice as to biological father. Petitioner has also shown proof of compliance with Code of Civil Procedure §1277(a)(4) in that publication of the order to show cause had been deemed sufficient to provide notice to the nonconsenting parent (biological father). The Court finds that no timely objection has been filed against said Petition. Therefore, the Court now GRANTS the Petitioner’s Decree Changing Name of “Matthew Anthony Gomez Tjong” to “Matthew Anthony Gomez”.

3.         PETITION OF NATHAN HOTALING

            25CV06361

TENTATIVE RULING: No Appearance is Required. The Court finds that Petitioner Nathan Robert Hotaling, has complied with all prerequisites outlined under California Code of Civil procedure (“C.C.P.”) §1277.5 for Decree Changing Name and Order Recognizing Change of Gender. The Court finds that no timely objection has been filed against said Petition. Therefore, the Court now GRANTS the Petitioner’s Decree Changing Name of “Nathan Robert Hotaling” to “Nathan Robert Valentino Marra”.
